Carly Simon<\/strong> has released a remixed and remastered version of the track “Share the End<\/strong><\/a>,\u201d which appeared on her iconic 1971 album,\u00a0Anticipation<\/em>.<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0a press release, Simon decided to share the song in response to what\u2019s been happening culturally and politically in the U.S. today.<\/p>\n

\u201c’Share the End’ always felt like a hidden gem\u2014quiet but powerful,\u201d Simon shares. \u201cToday, in a time of war, real and phony despots, division, and dishonesty across the globe, it sometimes feels to me the world is still \u2018going up in flames\u2019 \u2014five decades after I first recorded this song.\u201d<\/p>\n

She adds, \u201cIn the original, I was reflecting on personal relationships, but in this version, I\u2019m thinking more about what\u2019s happening everywhere in the world\u2014how to move forward while treasuring what\u2019s behind us.”<\/p>\n
