Paul McCartney<\/strong> has written another book.<\/p>\n

The Beatles<\/strong> legend is set to release Wings: The Story of a Band on the Run<\/em>, which is described as \u201ca landmark account” of the rocker’s “triumphant musical reinvention in the 1970s and the subsequent rise of one of the decade\u2019s most iconic bands.\u201d<\/p>\n

The book, edited by historian Ted Widmer<\/strong>, is culled from interviews with McCartney and other important players in the band. It centers around Wings\u2019 nine albums, which featured such classic tunes as \u201cLive and Let Die,\u201d \u201cBand on the Run,\u201d \u201cMy Love,\u201d \u201cJet,\u201d \u201cWith a Little Luck,\u201d \u201cSilly Love Songs,\u201d \u201cLet \u2018Em In\u201d and more.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m so very happy to be transported back to the time that was Wings and relive some of our madcap adventures through this book,\u201d McCartney shares. \u201cStarting from scratch after The Beatles felt crazy at times. There were some very difficult moments and I often questioned my decision. But as we got better I thought, \u2018OK this is really good.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

He adds, \u201cWe proved Wings could be a really good band. To play to huge audiences in the same way The Beatles had and have an impact in a different way. It was a huge buzz.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wings: The Story of a Band on the Run<\/em> will be released Nov. 4.<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t McCartney\u2019s first book. In 2021 he released The Lyrics: 1956 to the Present<\/em>, based on conversations McCartney had with the Irish poet Paul Muldoon<\/strong>. In it\u00a0McCartney recounted the inspirations behind over 100 of his songs.<\/p>\n
