I did it for as long as suggested, and I wasn\u2019t a big fan.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt made me feel heavy and machinelike. It didn\u2019t change much in me \u2014 although I have been writing a lot, so you never know what kind of effect it has later on,&#8221; he says. &#8220;It\u2019s not a black-and-white kind of thing.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>One alternative option he seems more positive about is \u201cmicro-dosing\u201d LSD.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I did acid, and that was actually a little better,&#8221; he says. &#8220;I hadn\u2019t done that since I was in my 20s, but it was a great high. I don\u2019t mean to push drugs on anyone, but I\u2019m not averse to anything that helps me be happier and a better person. I could use some help in that area. I\u2019m always searching.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>But Springfield\u00a0shares\u00a0that cutting back on alcohol two years ago \u201chelped more than anything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ll have a couple of sips of vodka or something when I\u2019m onstage,&#8221; he shares, &#8220;but I don\u2019t drink any other time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2025, ABC Audio.
