A unique piece of Beatles<\/strong> memorabilia now has a new owner.<\/p>\n

Joseph Robert O\u2019Donnell<\/strong>, a Beatles and music memorabilia dealer,\u00a0recently\u00a0purchased a piece of George<\/strong> Harrison<\/strong>\u2019s leftover toast from 1962.<\/p>\n

The piece of toast in question was taken by a 15-year-old Harrison fan named Sue Houghton<\/strong>, who had become friendly with his family. While visiting the family, she pocketed the leftover crust from Harrison\u2019s plate. It eventually made its way to Houghton\u2019s Harrison scrapbook collection, which included other mementos,\u00a0including fluff from under his bed.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a brilliant story that is both bizarre, historical and a story I\u2019ll continue telling friends, memorabilia collectors and fellow Beatles fans,\u201d O\u2019Donnell shares.<\/p>\n

So far there\u2019s no word on how much O\u2019Donnell\u00a0shelled out\u00a0for the toast, but in 1992 items from Sue\u2019s scrapbook collection were put up for auction at Christie’s, with the toast selling\u00a0for\u00a0about $1,600.<\/p>\n
