On This Day, March 3, 2009…<\/p>\n

U2<\/strong> released their\u00a012th studio album No Line on the Horizon<\/em> in North America.<\/p>\n

The album was released five years after their previous release, How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb<\/em>, which up until then, marked the longest break between albums for the band.<\/p>\n

To promote the record, U2 performed for five consecutive nights on The Late Show with David Letterman<\/strong><\/em>. It was the first time ever an artist had played five straight shows on the late night talker.<\/p>\n

No Line on the Horizon,<\/em> which contained the singles \u201cGet On Your Boots,\u201d \u201cMagnificent\u201d and \u201cI\u2019ll Go Crazy If I Don\u2019t Go Crazy Tonight,\u201d peaked at #1 in the U.S, and in several other countries.<\/p>\n
