It also followed his budding romance with an aspiring singer, played by <strong>Apollonia<\/strong>. The film grossed close to $70 million in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>The soundtrack was Prince\u2019s first #1 and spent 24 weeks on the top of the chart. Singles \u201cWhen Doves Cry\u201d and \u201cLet\u2019s Go Crazy\u201d both hit #1, while the title track peaked at #2 and another single, \u201cI Would Die 4 U,\u201d went to #8.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2025, ABC Audio.
