{"id":31650,"date":"2025-03-14T21:02:25","date_gmt":"2025-03-14T21:02:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/101gold\/graham-nash-blasts-new-jersey-resident-who-used-his-lyrics-to-promote-hate-and-intolerance\/"},"modified":"2025-03-14T21:02:25","modified_gmt":"2025-03-14T21:02:25","slug":"graham-nash-blasts-new-jersey-resident-who-used-his-lyrics-to-promote-hate-and-intolerance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/101gold\/graham-nash-blasts-new-jersey-resident-who-used-his-lyrics-to-promote-hate-and-intolerance\/","title":{"rendered":"Graham Nash blasts New Jersey resident who used his lyrics to promote \u2018hate and intolerance\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/syndication.abcaudio.com\/files\/2025-03-14\/Getty_GrahamNash_031425.jpg\" alt><figcaption>Nash Scott Dudelson\/Getty Images for FIREAID<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Rock &amp; Roll Hall of Famer <strong>Graham Nash<\/strong> is blasting a New Jersey resident who used\u00a0one of his most iconic lyrics\u00a0to share what\u00a0Nash\u00a0calls \u201chate and intolerance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Crosby, Stills, Nash &amp; Young<\/strong> singer\u00a0took to his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/officialgrahamnash\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Instagram Story<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0to respond to a sign that read \u201cboys have a penis, girls have a vagina,\u201d along with \u201cTeach your children well \u2026 Crosby, Stills &amp; Nash.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It has come to my attention that a vile individual in NJ has this sign in his yard with a quote from my song Teach Your Children,\u201d Nash writes. \u201cI want to make it abundantly clear that I do not support this kind of hate and intolerance and that this is a disgusting message that has nothing to do with my song.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He adds, \u201cA sign like this is meant to exclude and shame people which is the very opposite of the message that I spread throughout my music.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nash reiterated his support for the transgender community, noting he \u201cwould never seek to make them feel less than or ashamed of being who they are.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Finally he writes, \u201cIf you teach your children anything, let it be compassion and understanding. Especially of anyone who might not be exactly like them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Teach Your Children&#8221; was released in 1970 and appeared on the Crosby, Stills, Nash &amp; Young album <em>D\u00e9j\u00e0 Vu<\/em>.
