Journey<\/strong> was forced to stop their\u00a0show\u00a0at Rodeo Houston at NRG Stadium on Friday after an electrical fire broke out when they were barely five songs into their set.<\/p>\n

Fan-shot footage posted to YouTube shows frontman Arnel Pineda<\/strong> being abruptly cut off during\u00a0the band’s classic\u00a0“Don\u2019t Stop Believin\u2019” due to a power outage. Fans in the audience continued to sing along to the tune, but the band was eventually pulled off the stage and didn’t\u00a0complete the show.<\/p>\n

Journey’s\u00a0drummer,\u00a0Dean Castronovo<\/strong>, later took to Instagram<\/strong><\/a> to reveal that the power outage was caused by a fire that got a little too close for him.<\/p>\n

\u201cHey, Houston! An act of God tonight! Fire broke out underneath the stage\u2014right under my drum riser!\u201d he wrote. \u201cI was literally on fire for 4 \u00bd songs, all the power cables melted, and the show was a BUST! That doesn\u2019t mean we won\u2019t be back soon, because we love you all\u2014and WE WILL RETURN! #dontstopbelievin God bless you all!\u201d<\/p>\n

According to setlist.fm<\/strong><\/a>, the band had treated the audience to performances of “Only the Young,” “Be Good To Yourself,” a guitar solo and “Stone in Love”\u00a0before the fire ended the show.<\/p>\n
