April STEM Programs at the Museum of Nature & Science
The Las Cruces Museum of Nature & Science, 411 N. Main St., will offer in-person Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) programs for children and families this April.
The programs are free but some require registration in advance. Register in-person at the Museum of Nature & Science atrium desk before the registration deadlines listed.
“Nature & Science Discovery Pre-K: Plant Life Cycle”
9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thursdays
Learn about the food we eat and how that impacts our ecosystems through stories and crafts. “Pre-K” takes place every Thursday at 9 a.m. Register in advance for April by Thursday, March 31, 2022. Recommended for children 2 to 5, adult caregiver participation is required.
“Saturday Family Science – Oil Spill Clean Up”
10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 2
Figure out the most effective way to clean an oil spill by working together during this hands-on family activity. Registration closes Thursday, March 31, 2022. Recommended for children 6 and older. Adult caregiver participation is required.
“Live Animal Feedings”
11 a.m. Saturday, April 2, April 9, and April 16
It’s brunch time! Watch and learn how different species of animals eat, and what they eat. Animal feedings take place in the gallery at the Museum of Nature & Science. No registration is required.
11 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 23
Learn about the diverse world of reptiles get up close to some of the museum’s residents. No registration required.
