Discover history and culture through a monthly informal discussion series on the second Thursday of each month at 1 p.m. .From July through September, the theme is “History of Revolts and Revolutions.” In this presentation, join Dr. Garcia Bryce in learning about revolutions in Latin America. “La calle” (the street) has become a powerful place of protest in recent Latin American history. Street protests have brought down presidents in Argentina and Peru, have stopped multi-billion dollar mining projects throughout the Andean region, and have led governments to reverse fiscal policies and price hikes in Colombia and Chile.
