Branigan Memorial Library Offers Free Computer Literacy Classes in December
Thomas Branigan Memorial Library offers free computer literacy in December. Each session is an independent class. Registration is not required, however space is limited.
Attendees are welcome to bring their own laptops if space permits. Social distancing and face masks are required.
Basic Computer Skills
Monday, December 6, 2021 from 3 – 5 p.m.
Are you uncomfortable using a computer? Do you want to understand how to use it without the fear of doing something to break it? This class will discuss what computers are and some ways to properly use them in your daily lives.
Internet and the Cloud
Wednesday, December 8, 2021 from 10 a.m. to noon.
Do you know what the Internet is? What about the Cloud? This class will explain these terms and how to safely navigate the Internet.
Write Your Resume Using Microsoft Word
Monday, December 13, 2021 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm
A class for those who are interested in creating a dynamic job resume. Students will learn how to use Microsoft Word resume template. Basic computer and Microsoft Word skills is preferred.
Basics of Gmail
Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 2 to 4 pm
Learn how to obtain a Google email account. Students will then learn the basics of sending, receiving, and replying to a message, as well as how to send and open attachments and manage their Gmail account.

Thomas Branigan Memorial Library hours are from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday thru Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and from 1 – 5 p.m. Sunday. The library is located at 200 E. Picacho Avenue, Las Cruces, New Mexico.
