Doña Ana County will host the school student art show featuring artwork from Las Cruces Public Schools (LCPS) elementary school students on Friday, April 22, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Government Center, 845 N. Motel Blvd. Many student artists, their families and school faculty art teachers will be on hand. Refreshments will be served. The public is invited to attend.

The student art show takes place in the Spring of each year. The art shows have been a rotating feature in Doña Ana County’s main lobby since 2000, with hundreds of works by local student artists displayed for the public during that time. In the past, exhibits have included paintings, etchings, photographs, and drawings from students from LCPS, Gadsden Independent School District, Hatch Valley Public Schools, and John Paul Taylor Academy. The artists range in age from elementary to high school students.

This year’s artwork will remain on display until the 2023 art show. The 2021 art show was closed to the public due to the pandemic and the County’s social distancing practices. The digital art show is available for viewing on the County’s YouTube page at
