The sounds of summer are in the air. While you enjoy all that the land of enchantment offers over the next few months, there are a few things to remember. If you are heading outdoors, it’s important to know that New Mexico is also home to some dangerous critters! Beware of venomous snakes, spiders, and scorpions that share our land. Pets, children, and the elderly are especially susceptible to extreme heat. Please ensure young children and pets are kept hydrated and not left unattended in hot vehicles. While heat can be a hazard, monsoons can also cause dangerous floods, so stay safe on the roads. Remember to have fun, stay cool and hydrated, and have a fun, happy summer!
