Applebee’s Partners with Salvation Army for Local Canned Food Drive
El Paso, TEXAS & Las Cruces, NEW MEXICO – November 16, 2020 – Applebee’s has teamed up with the Salvation Army to collect canned goods at all El Paso and Las Cruces Applebee’s.
To help those in need this holiday season, the locally owned restaurant is hosting a canned food drive at its eight El Paso restaurants and two Las Cruces locations. The two groups are working together to help a community that’s facing an even greater risk of food insecurity.
“We see the need in our community and The Salvation Army understands that people are being impacted on an even greater scale this year,” said Jennifer Needham, Field Marketing Representative for Applebee’s.
The partnership is a first for the restaurant but as Needham pointed out, “Their slogan is ‘Doing the Best’ and ours is ‘Doin’ Good in the Neighborhood’ – it’s a perfect partnership.”
The canned food drive will run now until December 13, 2020, and guests who donate two or more canned goods will receive a free order of chips & salsa on the day of donation or a voucher that can be used on a future visit.
