This week’s Las Cruces Community Spotlight is going to the dogs and cats! Lyndsey Kalson of Las Cruces Today took a moment to find out more about this amazing community-driven program with Managing Director J. “Koko” Dean to put a spotlight on the good still going on in our community.
Hailing from Denver, CO, Koko Dean has lived, worked and raised his family in Las Cruces, NM for the last 15 years. He has vast experience in brand building, marketing, management, and the establishment of forward-thinking work culture. His expertise in social media, networking, content creation and public speaking talent make him a valuable resource to the Barkhouse team. He and his wife, Melissa Dean, co-own Melissa J. Koko, Documentary Photographer, a professional photography studio that creates promotional content for businesses and private clients, including the iconic 12 Dog Program for Barkhouse. His leadership will ensure that the goals are reached for Barkhouse and it will become a beacon for positive change. He is committed to the mission to humanely and lovingly saving the lives of companion pets in Dona Ana County. Father of 3 human children and four fur rescue kids, entrepreneur, animal lover, and advocate.
