Jimmy Fallon’s collaboration with the Jonas Brothers, “Holiday,” has topped Billboard’s Adult Contemporary chart, making it the talk show host’s first #1 on that tally. Speaking to ABC Audio on Dec. 13, when he got the news that the song had reached the top, Jimmy joked that the JoBros were dying to work with him on his album Holiday Seasoning.

“The Jonas Brothers have just been begging to sing a song with me,” he cracked. “They just said, ‘Look, we can’t move on with our careers without doing a song with you.’ And I go, ‘All right.’ I want them to move on, yeah! Get lives of their own, you know, start families, you know, start caring about anything besides singing with me!”

But in all seriousness, the talk show host added, “The fact that they were nice enough to do the song with me, I’m freaking beyond lucky. And the fact that it went number one, I got a text from all of them … they text as a team.”

“It’s a three-person text chain, four with me included. Frankie’s not on that list,” Jimmy joked, referring to the fourth Jonas Brother. “But they text me, they go, ‘Jimmy, we’re number one.’ I go, ‘Oh my gosh.’ And then Nick texted, ‘I think we’re going to be famous.'”

Jimmy even received a special plaque commemorating his achievement on Dec. 13. “Holiday” is from the comedian’s first Christmas album, Holiday Seasoning, and in addition to JoBros, it also features Justin Timberlake, Ariana Grande, Meghan Trainor, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Dolly Parton and Will Ferrell among others.
