Apparently it takes a village to get two superstars like Taylor Swift<\/strong> and Travis Kelce<\/strong> together. Since the two started dating, various people have taken credit for helping them get together, so let’s add another name to the list.<\/p>\n

The guys from the Saturday Night Live<\/em> team Please Don’t Destroy \u2014\u00a0Ben Marshall<\/strong>, John Higgins<\/strong>\u00a0and Martin Herlihy<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 appeared on Mike Birbiglia<\/strong>‘s <\/span>Working It Out podcast,<\/span><\/em> where Marshall claimed to be “a little bit responsible” for the romance.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“We worked with both Taylor and Travis Kelce, before they got together,\u201d Marshall<\/span> explained<\/span><\/a>. He was referring to the fact that both stars worked with the group on bits when they were on <\/span>SNL <\/span><\/em>at different times: Taylor did “<\/span>Three Sad Virgins,<\/span><\/a>” while Travis did “<\/span>Self-Defense<\/span><\/a>.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Marshall continued, \u201cSo we \u2014 and we can cut this out if you guys don\u2019t want to say this \u2014 but she kinda told us that she watched his SNL<\/em> episode and saw him in our video \u2026 and was like, \u2018Oh this guy seems funny and sweet,’ so … a little bit brought them together.”<\/p>\n

\u201cI was thinking about, like, maybe saying that on Fallon,<\/em> and then we were like, \u2018I think that, if then they ever break up, we will be pinned for causing this disaster,’\u201d Marshall laughed. \u201cIt\u2019s just a very precarious situation, because people have such strong feelings about them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Birbiglia has a separate connection to Taylor, by the way: He was in the video<\/a> for “Anti-Hero,” playing one of her children in the will-reading scene.<\/p>\n
