{"id":117340,"date":"2024-03-18T15:03:33","date_gmt":"2024-03-18T15:03:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/magic\/2024\/03\/18\/celine-dion-posts-photo-with-sons-on-stiff-person-syndrome-awareness-day\/"},"modified":"2024-03-18T15:03:33","modified_gmt":"2024-03-18T15:03:33","slug":"celine-dion-posts-photo-with-sons-on-stiff-person-syndrome-awareness-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/magic\/2024\/03\/18\/celine-dion-posts-photo-with-sons-on-stiff-person-syndrome-awareness-day\/","title":{"rendered":"C\u00e9line Dion posts photo with sons on Stiff-Person Syndrome Awareness Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/syndication.abcaudio.com\/files\/2024-03-18\/M_celinedion%20grammys_031224.jpg\" alt><figcaption>Kevin Winter\/Getty Images for The Recording Academy<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>While\u00a0sharing photos with her sons on International Stiff-Person Syndrome Awareness Day,<strong> C\u00e9line Dion<\/strong>\u00a0wrote that she&#8217;s feeling thankful for the support she&#8217;s received from friends, fans and family.<\/p>\n<p>The Grammy winner, who announced she had been diagnosed with the rare condition in 2022, posted a picture of herself on Instagram with all three of her sons &#8212; <strong>Ren\u00e9-Charles<\/strong>, 23, and twin boys <strong>Nelson<\/strong> and <strong>Eddy<\/strong>, 13 &#8212; on March 15, noting it was International SPS Awareness Day.<\/p>\n<p>The sweet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/C4j2U_6OI-9\/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>photo<\/strong><\/a> features the family posing and smiling alongside each other on a podium for a go-kart racing organization called K1 Speed.<\/p>\n<p>In the caption, C\u00e9line\u00a0also shared an update on her battle with the condition, a rare autoimmune neurological disorder with a spectrum of symptoms.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As many of you know, in the fall of 2022, I was diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS),&#8221; she wrote. &#8220;Trying to overcome this autoimmune disorder has been one of the hardest experiences of my life, but I remain determined to one day get back onto the stage and to live as normal of a life as possible.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>She continued, &#8220;I am deeply grateful for the love and support from my kids, family, team and all of you! I want to send my encouragement and support to all those around the world that have been affected by SPS.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Concluding the note, she wrote, &#8220;I want you to know you can do it! We can do it!&#8221; before signing off by sending her &#8220;love&#8221; to her fans, followed by her name.<\/p>\n<p>C\u00e9line\u00a0shared her three sons with her late husband,\u00a0<strong>Ren\u00e9 Ang\u00e9lil<\/strong>, who died of cancer in January 2016 at age 73.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2024, ABC Audio.
