Ricky Martin<\/strong> is reflecting on giving Channing Tatum<\/strong> his big break.<\/p>\n

Tatum got his career started in 2000 when he appeared in Ricky’s iconic “She Bangs<\/a>” music video. He played a bartender who served Ricky and other partygoers. On Thursday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live<\/em><\/a>, Ricky spoke to host Andy Cohen<\/strong> about casting Tatum in the video.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think he said thank you for the first opportunity,\u201d Ricky said. “Super cool.”<\/p>\n

Ricky then described how they came across Tatum in the first place.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn Miami, I just told the people from the production of the video to go out scouting and invite everybody to the Bahamas,\u201d Ricky said. \u201cAnd that\u2019s what happened, and there he was.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tatum recalled the project in a video for Wired<\/em><\/a> in 2022. \u201cMy very first job ever was a Ricky Martin video,\u201d Tatum said. \u201cI was a bartender with face paint and a mohawk … It was fun, it was great.\u201d
