This weekend, No Doubt<\/strong> is reforming to perform at Coachella. Whether or not the group plans to do more shows or record new music remains to be seen, but Gwen Stefani<\/strong>, at least, isn’t against the idea.<\/p>\n

Speaking to NYLON<\/strong><\/em> magazine<\/strong><\/a>, Gwen says even before the band agreed to perform at Coachella, they’d already discussed playing together again. “It\u2019s been a long time coming,\u201d she says. \u201cIt\u2019s been something that we were going to do.\u201d After the festival, Gwen says she’s “open to anything.”\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Well, I don\u2019t have a crystal ball,\u201d she adds. \u201cMost things have surprised me in life. One of the things I\u2019ve learned is to be present in the moment and try to absorb what\u2019s happening around me instead of looking ahead.” She looks at their Coachella performance as, she says, “a really nice bow to tie on the relationship, because we were kids [when we met] … we\u2019re going to be laughing, and we\u2019re going to look at each other and go, \u2018Oh my gosh \u2014there\u00a0<\/em>you are.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

As for her own music, Gwen’s duet with husband Blake Shelton<\/strong>, “Purple Irises,” is doing well, and she continues to work on new music, but she admits, “I don\u2019t land in pop anymore. I don\u2019t know where I land. And who cares? If anything\u2019s going to happen, we\u2019re in the Wild West right now in music, right? Crazy s*** happens.\u201d<\/p>\n

At least Gwen can be happy that she’s admired by the younger generation. Olivia Rodrigo<\/strong> told NYLON<\/em>, \u201cGwen\u2019s ability to evolve and explore different styles of music, songwriting, and aesthetic while still remaining true to herself is incredibly inspiring … there\u2019s so much heart in every word she says, and every song feels like it\u2019s ripped from the diary of the coolest girl you know.\u201d<\/p>\n
