Jon Bon Jovi<\/strong>‘s first hit was “Runaway,” but as many fans know, his first paid job as a singer was on\u00a0Christmas in the Stars<\/em>:\u00a0Star Wars Christmas Album.\u00a0<\/em>He discussed the latter on\u00a0April 10 during\u00a0his\u00a0appearance<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live<\/em>!<\/p>\n

Jon was working as a gofer at the studio where the\u00a0Star Wars Christmas Album\u00a0<\/em>was being made.\u00a0The man in charge of the album needed a young-sounding guy to sing on a track called “R2-D2 We Wish You a Merry Christmas” and tapped Jon for the job.<\/p>\n

“He says, ‘Young boy, can you sing?’ And I said, ‘Yeah, I think I can,'” Jon remembered. “He says, ‘Go in there and if you wanna do this, it pays 183 dollars.'”<\/p>\n

Jimmy then played a clip<\/strong><\/a> of the song, to which Jon smiled and even sang along.<\/p>\n

“Legend!” Jon joked.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Speaking of that, Bon Jovi<\/strong>‘s new album, Legendary<\/em>, is coming out in June. The band’s documentary begins streaming April 26 on Hulu.<\/p>\n
