Among the many accolades Jon Bon Jovi<\/strong> has received throughout his career, one of the more out-of-the-ordinary ones is having a rest stop in New Jersey named after him \u2014 and he’s totally\u00a0OK with that.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cYou know, like George Washington<\/strong> slept everywhere. This is going to sound a little disgusting: I\u2019ve peed everywhere,\u201d he tells <\/span>The Wall Street Journal<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/a>. \u201cFrom the man who\u2019s overly hydrated, when they said, ‘We\u2019re going to name the rest stop after you,’ I laughed. I said, ‘I think that\u2019s a great idea.’ I think it\u2019s hysterical.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Jon isn’t the first New Jersey native to have a rest stop named after him, which makes him even more OK with the honor.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBut actually, when you\u2019re in the company of Frank Sinatra<\/strong> and Vince Lombardi<\/strong> and Alexander Hamilton\u00a0<\/strong>\u2026It\u2019s actually a very New Jersey thing,\u201d he says. \u201cWe\u2019re often surrounded by backhanded compliments. That\u2019s what New Jersey is\u2014we are a shadow of New York City, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. We had to work very hard, and we carry that with us where we go.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Bon Jovi is about to\u00a0give fans some insight into his career and his band with the new four-part docuseries <\/span>Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story, <\/span><\/em>which debuts Friday, April 26, on Hulu.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
