Dating a younger man is nothing new to 77-year-old icon Cher<\/strong>, who opened up about why she doesn\u2019t usually date men her own age.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m really shy when I\u2019m not working and kind of shy around men,\u201d she said during an appearance on\u00a0<\/span>The Jennifer Hudson Show<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/a>. \u201cAnd the reason I go out with young men is because men my age or older \u2014 well, now they\u2019re all dead \u2014 but before they just never, they were always terrified to approach me and younger men were the only ones that\u2026\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

While Cher didn\u2019t finish the sentence, Hudson chimed in, noting, \u201cThey\u2019re bold,\u201d with Cher agreeing and adding, \u201craised by women like me.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Cher said her shyness around men\u00a0is also the reason why she once turned down a date with Elvis Presley<\/strong>. \u201cIt was because I was nervous,\u201d she explained, \u201cand I knew of the people around him and it wasn\u2019t that they were bad people, it\u2019s just that I was kind of nervous of his reputation.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Cher is currently dating 38-year-old Alexander “A.E.” Edwards<\/strong><\/span>, a music producer she first met in September of 2022. They have been romantically linked since November of that year.<\/span><\/p>\n
