The previous record of 1.5 million fans had been set by the <strong>Rolling Stones<\/strong> in 2006.<\/p>\n<p>You can see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/C6k43JFuSE2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">footage<\/a> of Madonna&#8217;s performance of &#8220;Music&#8221; on her Instagram; it was the only time she performed the song during the tour. During the performance, she was joined by <strong>Pabllo Vittar<\/strong>, a Brazilian drag queen and singer.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Blame it on Rio Thank you Brazil!!!&#8221; she wrote. It was her first time performing in the country since 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Other than &#8220;Music,&#8221; Madonna&#8217;s set list hewed closely to the one she&#8217;s been performing since the tour kicked off in October of 2023. During &#8220;Vogue,&#8221; the segment of the show where Madonna is usually joined by a special guest star, she welcomed Brazilian superstar <strong>Anitta<\/strong> onstage.<\/p>\n<p>The U.K. paper <em>The Guardian<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/music\/article\/2024\/may\/05\/free-madonna-concert-draws-crowd-of-16m-to-brazils-copacabana-beach#:~:text=%E2%80%9CI%20have%20never%20seen%20such,is%20spectacular%2C%E2%80%9D%20said%20another.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reports<\/a> that city officials wanted to avoid a replay of what happened when Taylor Swift played in the country last year: a young fan died of heat exhaustion.
