It seems Katy Perry<\/strong>\u2019s new era involves some old collaborators.\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a>, Katy enlisted producers from her previous albums Teenage Dream<\/em> and Prism<\/em> to help her craft her upcoming sixth studio album, informally referred to as KP6. She\u2019s reteaming with Dr. Luke<\/strong>, Max Martin<\/strong> and others.<\/p>\n

\u201cKaty knew exactly the album she wanted to make and put together the team to make it happen,\u201d a Capitol Records source tells Rolling Stone<\/em>. \u201cAnd that includes previous collaborators including Luke, Stargate<\/strong>, Max Martin, and Sarah Hudson<\/strong>, and some new heavy hitters such as Vaughn Oliver, Rocco Valdes<\/strong>, and Theron Thomas<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dr. Luke, who worked with Katy on songs like \u201cLast Friday Night\u201d and \u201cCalifornia Gurls,\u201d was sued by Kesha<\/strong> in 2014 on allegations of sexual, physical and emotional abuse. He countersued for defamation and they settled that suit last year.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Kesha tweeted a cryptic \u201clol\u201d<\/a> shortly after Katy announced<\/a> her new single, \u201cWoman\u2019s World,\u201d on Monday, which many fans interpreted as subtle shade. Some fans also took to Katy’s comments section to express their displeasure at her choice of collaborator.<\/p>\n

“Dr Luke? And a song about women\u2019s empowerment? That\u2019s a joke right?” one commenter wrote. Another wrote, “Yeah I\u2019m sorry Katy I really love you but I can\u2019t support you anymore. I stand with Kesha.”<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWoman\u2019s World\u201d drops July 11, with a music video to follow on July 12.<\/p>\n
