{"id":117970,"date":"2024-07-02T21:02:07","date_gmt":"2024-07-02T21:02:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/magic\/2024\/07\/02\/hearts-ann-wilson-reveals-cancer-battle-royal-flush-tour-postponed\/"},"modified":"2024-07-02T21:02:07","modified_gmt":"2024-07-02T21:02:07","slug":"hearts-ann-wilson-reveals-cancer-battle-royal-flush-tour-postponed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/magic\/2024\/07\/02\/hearts-ann-wilson-reveals-cancer-battle-royal-flush-tour-postponed\/","title":{"rendered":"Heart\u2019s Ann Wilson reveals cancer battle; Royal Flush tour postponed"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/syndication.abcaudio.com\/files\/2024-07-02\/Getty_AnnWilson_070224.jpg\" alt><figcaption>Scott Dudelson\/Getty Images<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>Heart<\/strong>\u2019s <strong>Ann Wilson<\/strong> has revealed that she is battling cancer, and the band has postponed their upcoming tour in order to give her time to recover.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cI recently underwent an operation to remove something that, as it turns out, was cancerous,\u201d <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/C87feBGhegR\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>she shares<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span class=\"s1\"> on social media. \u201cThe operation was successful &amp; I\u2019m feeling great but my doctors are now advising me to undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and &amp; I\u2019ve decided to do it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cAnd so my doctors are instructing me to take the rest of the year away from the stage in order to fully recover,&#8221; she adds.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Earlier this year, Heart announced they were postponing their European Royal Flush tour in order for Ann to have what they called &#8220;a time-sensitive but routine medical procedure.\u201d\u00a0<\/span>They&#8217;ve now postponed the rest of the tour.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cTo the ticket buyers, I really do wish we could do these gigs,\u201d she writes. \u201cPlease know that I absolutely plan to be back on stage in 2025.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/C87f-W_SlPP\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>separate post<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span class=\"s1\">, Heart encouraged fans to hold on to their tickets, which will be valid for future rescheduled dates.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cThank you all for the support,\u201d\u00a0Ann concludes. \u201cThis is merely a pause. I\u2019ve much more to sing.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Heart was due to kick off the second leg of their Royal Flush tour in August.
