Case in point: his new single, &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=FAAGeNmHhzQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Work It Out<\/a>,&#8221; which is out now.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/joe-jonas-work-it-out-the-breakdown-1235063476\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Rolling Stone<\/em> podcast <em>The Breakdown<\/em><\/a><em>,<\/em> Joe says of the song&#8217;s topic, &#8220;I think all of us can feel overwhelmed and stressed, and even an hour or two later, you\u2019re like, &#8216;I\u2019ve got to handle this myself and deal with it and grow.\u2019&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He adds, &#8220;The view of mental health has changed a lot over time, and especially [in the] music industry. It\u2019s also so nice to talk about our feelings and not feel like you have to sugarcoat them or it\u2019s embarrassing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The album is out on Oct. 18. Joe he says unlike his work with <strong>Jonas Brothers<\/strong> or his side project <strong>DNCE<\/strong>, it&#8217;s the first one he&#8217;s released that is all about his own experiences.<\/p>\n<p><span>&#8220;I think a lot of the songs, even on my album, are emotional and sometimes heavy,\u201d he says. \u201cBut then there are tunes on there that are also like this where, sonically, I think it\u2019s upbeat and fun, and when you\u2019re dissecting the lyrics, hopefully you\u2019ll realize, &#8216;OK, we\u2019re talking about some real stuff, and it\u2019s\u00a0OK to do it in a lighthearted way.&#8217;\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"raw-html-embed\"><iframe width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/FAAGeNmHhzQ\" title=\"Work It Out\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2024, ABC Audio.
