If you think Joe Jonas<\/strong>‘ upcoming solo album will be full of angry songs aimed at his ex-wife, think again. Joe says that’s not the vibe of the album at all.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Billboard<\/em><\/a> about the new album, Music for People Who Believe In Love<\/em>, Joe says, “I\u2019m not trying to come for anyone on this album. I\u2019m not trying to put stuff on blast.” Joe and his ex-wife,\u00a0Sophie Turner<\/strong>, who share two daughters, divorced very publicly in 2023.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“I have a beautiful life that I\u2019m grateful for. I\u2019ve got two beautiful kids,” he adds. “I\u2019m a happy person, and the music needed to resemble that \u2014 but also, the journey to get here.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joe says he decided to make the album because he needed an “outlet” during what he calls “such a crazy time in my life.” He explains, “I was going through a lot of life changes, finding out who I was as a person and father and friend, and living under the microscope of what the music industry can be.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the core of it,\u201d he says, \u201cif this body of work helps people through what they\u2019re going through, that\u2019s all I can really wish for.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joe also acknowledges that Music for People Who Believe In Love<\/em> isn’t his first solo album, but he feels as though it is. Of his actual debut solo album \u2014 2011’s\u00a0Fastlife<\/em>\u00a0\u2014 he says, “I have so much love for those songs \u2014 they actually aged pretty well! But it feels like a different person.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joe’s album is out on Oct. 18.<\/p>\n
