The combination of\u00a0Lady Gaga\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Bruno Mars\u00a0<\/strong>has proved pretty irresistible to pop music fans: The superstars’ new duet “Die With a Smile” has debuted<\/strong><\/a> at #3 on theBillboard <\/em>Hot 100.<\/p>\n

To give you an idea of how long Gaga and Bruno have been dominating the charts as solo artists, this is Bruno’s 19th top 10 hit on that chart and Gaga’s 18th. The last time Gaga climbed that high was in 2020, when she hit #1 with her\u00a0Ariana Grande\u00a0<\/strong>collab “Rain On Me.” As for Bruno, he was last in top 10 territory in 2021 when his\u00a0Silk Sonic\u00a0<\/strong>project reached #5 with “Smokin Out the Window.”<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0Billboard<\/em>, Gaga and Bruno’s song marks only the sixth time in the 66-year history of the Hot 100 that two artists with that number of hits \u2014 18 or more \u2014 teamed up for a joint hit. Among the other times this happened:<\/p>\n

-In 2015, when\u00a0Rihanna\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Paul McCartney<\/strong>\u00a0scored their 26th and 23rd top 10 hits, respectively, with “FourFiveSeconds.” The record also featured\u00a0Kanye West<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

-In 1995, when Michael Jackson and\u00a0Janet Jackson\u00a0<\/strong>scored their 26th and 20th top 10 hits, respectively, with “Scream.”<\/p>\n

-In 1986, when\u00a0Stevie Wonder\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Elton John\u00a0<\/strong>scored their 27th and 20th top 10 hits, respectively, with “That’s What Friends Are For.” The record also featured\u00a0Gladys Knight\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Dionne Warwick<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
