Emma Roberts<\/strong> is throwing her hat in the ring to play the princess of pop.<\/p>\n

Britney Spears<\/strong>‘ former assistant Felicia Culotta<\/strong> recently suggested Roberts play Spears in the upcoming movie adaptation of her bestselling memoir, The Woman In Me<\/em>, and the actress says the role would be a dream come true.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was like, I love her assistant,\u201d Roberts told Cosmo<\/em><\/a>. \u201cI mean, it\u2019s my true dream to play Britney Spears. It\u2019s a rumor, but I hope maybe it\u2019ll come true. I mean, I remember I locked myself in my room and listened to In the Zone<\/em> and said, \u2018I cannot leave this room until I memorize every word.’\u201d<\/p>\n

Roberts shared even more of her fandom, saying she is always playing Spears’ music.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, I sing Britney to my son in the bath all the time. I\u2019m always like, \u2018God, he must think I\u2019m so weird.\u2019 That\u2019s some millennial parenting,\u201d Roberts said.<\/p>\n

In the TMZ<\/em><\/a> interview where Culotta originally suggested Roberts for the part, she said both women understand child stardom, with Roberts appearing on the Nickelodeon show Unfabulous<\/em> and Spears on Disney Channel’s The All-New Mickey Mouse Club<\/em>. She also suggested Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet<\/strong> as someone who could take on the role of Spears’ ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
