Gavin DeGraw<\/strong> will release\u00a0Chariot 20<\/em>, a reimagined version of his debut album,\u00a0Chariot<\/em>, on Sept. 27, and he’s just released his new take on the song that made him famous: “I Don’t Want to Be.”<\/p>\n

The new version<\/strong><\/a> is more piano heavy, and a bit more soulful and stripped back than the original<\/strong><\/a>. The original was, of course, the theme song for the TV series One Tree Hill<\/em>. On\u00a0Sept. 21, Gavin will perform during halftime at the state championship basketball game in Wilmington, North Carolina, which is doubling as<\/strong><\/a> a One Tree Hill<\/em> fan event. As you may recall, the TV series took place in North Carolina and basketball was a big plot point.<\/p>\n

One Tree Hill <\/em>cast members attending the event include James Lafferty<\/strong>, Paul Johansson<\/strong>, Stephen Colletti<\/strong>, Tyler Hilton<\/strong>, Antwon Tanner<\/strong>, Robbie Jones<\/strong>, Lee Norris\u00a0<\/strong>and Cullen Moss<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Chariot 20\u00a0<\/em>includes two previously unreleased tracks written during the original album sessions: “Get Lost” and “Love Is Stronger (Alright).”<\/p>\n
