It details the beginnings of the boyband genre, dating back to<strong> The Beatles<\/strong> and the<strong> Jackson 5<\/strong>, and follows it through <strong>The Osmonds<\/strong>, <strong>Hanson<\/strong>, <strong>New Kids on the Block<\/strong>, the Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC and <strong>One Direction <\/strong>to the\u00a0present day with today&#8217;s K-pop superstars.<\/p>\n<p>The doc includes interviews with *NSYNC&#8217;s <strong>Chris Kirkpatrick<\/strong> and<strong> Lance Bass<\/strong>; Backstreet&#8217;s<strong> AJ McLean<\/strong>; <strong>98 Degrees<\/strong>&#8216;<strong> Jeff Timmons<\/strong> and <strong>Nick Lachey<\/strong>;<strong> New Edition<\/strong>&#8216;s<strong> Michael Bivins<\/strong>;\u00a0<strong>Donny Osmond<\/strong>; <strong>New Kids<\/strong>&#8216; <strong>Donny Wahlberg<\/strong>; and K-pop group <strong>SEVENTEEN<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The doc was produced by <strong>Johnny Wright<\/strong>, who, at one time or another, managed New Kids, *NSYNC, Backstreet, <strong>Jonas Brothers<\/strong>, <strong>Menudo<\/strong>, <strong>Justin Timberlake<\/strong> and<strong> Britney Spears<\/strong>, so he had a front row seat to all the mania that surrounded those artists.<\/p>\n<p>Wright is also featured in the trailer, along with fun throwback footage of your faves, back when the biggest problem they faced each day was whether or not their video was slipping down the rankings on<em> TRL<\/em>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"raw-html-embed\"><iframe width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/OdezhPUX9Q4\" title=\"Larger Than Life: Reign of the Boybands | Official Trailer | Paramount+\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2024, ABC Audio.
