Lady Gaga<\/strong>‘s\u00a0fianc\u00e9,\u00a0Michael Polansky<\/strong>, isn’t a musician, but he\u00a0is listed as a co-writer of her latest hit, “Disease<\/strong><\/a>.” So what was his contribution to the song? One line in particular, according to Gaga.<\/p>\n

Speaking about “Disease” on Rolling Stone<\/em>‘s The Breakdown<\/strong><\/a> series, Gaga says, “Working with Michael is super, super interesting because he knows me so well. When we were working on \u2018Disease,\u2019 I was navigating my way through some of the initial lyrics that we had written in the studio: \u2018I could play the doctor. I can cure your disease.'”<\/p>\n

Gaga continues, “He said, \u2018You know, there\u2019s another way for you to say this.\u2019 He said, \u2018Bring me your desire, I can cure your disease,\u2019 because the thing that you are asking is to fix you, to fix this addict-like affliction that you have for this person.\u2019”<\/p>\n

She notes, “That\u2019s a super intimate thing that someone might not think of or feel working with me unless they really know me.\u201d It’s not clear what else Polansky contributed to the song.<\/p>\n

“Disease” is the first single from Gaga’s upcoming seventh studio album, which is due out in February. Describing the album, she tells Rolling Stone<\/em>, \u201cThere\u2019s moments where we are sonically just trying to push sound as much as possible. There\u2019s other moments where it\u2019s all about love, and it\u2019s super dreamy. That, to me, is true chaos.\u201d<\/p>\n
