Early in 2024, Miley Cyrus<\/strong> won the first Grammy of her career. Could Sunday be the day she’ll be able to say that about the Golden Globes?<\/p>\n

The first time Miley was nominated for a Grammy was in 2015, so it took her almost a decade to finally win. The first time she was nominated for a Golden Globe was way back in 2009, so she’s been waiting even longer for that honor.<\/p>\n

At the 2009 ceremony, Miley was nominated in the best original song category for “I Thought I Lost You<\/a>,” a song she co-wrote for the animated film Bolt <\/em>and performed with her co-star\u00a0John Travolta<\/strong>. She lost to Bruce Springsteen<\/strong>‘s song “The Wrestler,” from the film of the same name.<\/p>\n

This year Miley is nominated in the best original song category for “Beautiful That Way<\/a>,” from the Pamela Anderson<\/strong> film The Last Showgirl.<\/em> She co-wrote the song with producer Andrew Watt<\/strong> and the Swedish singer Lykke Li <\/strong>[Lickey Lee].<\/p>\n

You can tune in and see if Miley wins when the 2025 Golden Globe Awards air on CBS Sunday, Dec. 5, at 8 p.m. ET. And you can also see whether two other<\/em> child stars-turned-pop singers win their first Golden Globes: former Disney star Selena Gomez<\/strong> and former Nickelodeon star Ariana Grande<\/strong> are also nominated.<\/p>\n
