Elton John<\/strong> has been a supporter of Chappell Roan<\/strong> since 2023, before she became a Grammy-nominated megastar.\u00a0 Over the past year, the two have become good pals, so it’s no wonder that Elton has tapped the “Hot to Go!” singer to perform at his 33rd Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards\u00ae Viewing Party.<\/p>\n

This year, the event will take place in West Hollywood, California, on March 2 and will be hosted by Elton and his husband David Furnish<\/strong>, along with co-hosts Neil Patrick Harris<\/strong> and his husband David Burtka<\/strong>, plus Jean Smart<\/strong> and Sheryl Lee Ralph<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Over the years, Elton’s annual bash has raised nearly $115 million for the fight to end HIV\/AIDS.\u00a0In a statement, he says, “David and I are thrilled to gather with friends and supporters once again, and we\u2019re honored to welcome the bold and authentic Chappell Roan as this year\u2019s performer, whose artistry embodies the power of music to inspire change.”<\/p>\n

Among the stars who will serve on Benefit Committee for the event: Mick Jagger<\/strong>, Hozier<\/strong>, Sharon Stone, Megan Thee Stallion<\/strong>, Sean Penn<\/strong> and Jeffrey Wright<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
