Hey-yay, what’s going on? Well,\u00a04 Non Blondes<\/strong> are reuniting to appear at this year’s installment of BottleRock Napa Valley music festival<\/strong><\/a>, scheduled for May 23-25 in California.<\/p>\n

The lineup for the festival was announced on Jan. 13 and headliners include Justin Timberlake<\/strong>, Noah Kahan<\/strong> and Green Day<\/strong>;\u00a0Benson Boone<\/strong> is also on the bill. But the big news is the presence of the ’90s rock band led by Linda Perry<\/strong>, best known for their hit “What’s Up?”\u00a0The group disbanded in 1994 after one album.\u00a0Since then, they’ve only played together once, at a 2014 charity event.<\/p>\n

On the podcast\u00a0The Allison Hagendorf Show<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, exclusively premiered by\u00a0People.com<\/strong><\/a>, Perry says that “it\u2019s the right time in my heart\u201d for the band to get back together and she’s been manifesting this.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019ve been kind of putting that energy out, because I want 2025 to be my year,” she says. “I want to own this year because I feel like I\u2019ve been planting seeds all over the place and I\u2019m watching my little trees grow,” she notes. “We got this offer [for BottleRock] … and I\u2019m like, \u2018OK, I knew this was coming\u2019 … I\u2019ve told the universe I want this to happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Perry says she called up the band members \u2014 even though, she says, “we don’t talk” \u2014 and asked them, “Hey, how do you guys feel about this?”<\/p>\n

“They were excited, and so I\u2019m gonna go hang out with them in San Francisco, rehearse and just [mess] around,” says Perry. “Not really have a plan, but just see how it feels.\u201d She says 4 Non Blondes’ unreleased second album may see the light of day.<\/p>\n

These days, Perry’s probably best known for writing hits for other artists, including Christina Aguilera<\/strong>, Pink<\/strong>, Gwen Stefani<\/strong> and Alicia Keys<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
