The Eras Tour is over for good, right? Well, maybe not.<\/p>\n

According to Bloomberg<\/em><\/a>, the Chinese digital media outlet The Paper <\/em>reported on Jan. 13 that the city of Shanghai thinks it might be possible for Taylor Swift<\/strong> to perform there in 2025.<\/p>\n

A Shanghai tourism official told the publication that authorities held “preliminary talks” with Taylor’s team and was quoted as saying, “We are optimistic there may be hope [for a show] this year.\u201d<\/p>\n

Taylor last performed in Shanghai in 2014; her show was an instant sellout. According to Bloomberg<\/em>, a Taylor show in China would be “especially welcome,” since policymakers there want to “stimulate consumption” this year. A typical attendee of a Taylor show spends $1,500 on tickets, hotels, flights and food.<\/p>\n

The Eras Tour, which wrapped up in December, skipped China. Taylor’s concert film capturing the tour made $13 million at the box office in that country, according to Bloomberg.<\/em><\/p>\n

Taylor doesn’t officially have anything on her schedule this year, but fans are still hoping she’ll release the Taylor’s Version<\/em> editions of her debut album and Reputation<\/em>. At the Grammys, coming up Feb. 2, she’s nominated for multiple trophies, including album of the year for The Tortured Poets Department.<\/em><\/p>\n
