Many of Myles Smith<\/strong>‘s songs are romantic, but\u00a0the “Stargazing” singer has\u00a0now shared one that he says is so “painful” that just posting a little bit of it has sent his “anxiety through the roof.”<\/p>\n

On Instagram, he wrote<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0of the song, called “My First Heartbreak,”\u00a0“This one\u2019s super close to my heart and my anxiety is through the roof. … Still don\u2019t know if I\u2019m ready to give it to the world. But here\u2019s just a little insight into who I am.”<\/p>\n

He goes on to write in the comments, “I\u2019ve played this at some of my shows for the last 18 months. … Someone close told me recently it might be time to share it outside those walls. So here\u2019s what I\u2019m comfy with so far.”<\/span><\/p>\n

“It\u2019s not a happy song. It\u2019s really freaking painful and brings up a lot of trauma,” he adds. “This is just me trying to get a little bit more real with you all – and trying to become like the artists who have helped me in life. Baby steps but I\u2019m trying.”<\/span><\/p>\n

The song sounds like it may have been inspired by Myles’ relationship with a close relative, from whom he appears to be estranged:\u00a0<\/span>“They say blood is thicker than water\/ but I’m closer to the ocean than I am to you\/\u00a0 and I wish when I was younger\/ I hadn’t put all my faith into you.”<\/p>\n

He goes on to sing, “‘Cause my first heartbreak looks a little bit like me\/ He’s got my eyes and a freckle on his cheek\/ and I can’t hide it, it’s bitter and it’s sweet\/ ‘Cause my first heartbreak looks a little bit like me.”<\/p>\n

Myles’ 2025 tour begins Jan. 22 in Brooklyn, New York.<\/p>\n
