Rod Stewart<\/strong> turned 80 on Jan. 10, but the two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Famer is still celebrating.<\/p>\n

After Rod and his family celebrated together on a cruise, Rod’s wife, Penny Lancaster<\/strong>, threw him a party on Jan. 18 to allow his friends to mark the milestone with him. One of the guests was Ron Wood<\/strong>, current Rolling Stones<\/strong> guitarist and Rod’s former bandmate in The Faces<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Wood posted photos<\/a> on his Instagram posing with Rod and their wives and goofing around at the event, captioning the photos, “Really fun night celebrating Rod\u2019s 80th!”<\/p>\n

Rod said in an interview<\/a>\u00a0last year that he and Wood, along with another member<\/a> of The Faces, drummer Kenney Jones<\/strong>, were working to record some new material.<\/p>\n

Wood’s wife, Sally<\/strong>, also posted photos but revealed the party was a surprise<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Last night with @sirrodstewart @penny.lancaster @ronniewood celebrating Sir Rod\u2019s 80th birthday ~ the most beautiful night,” she wrote. “Thank you @penny.lancaster for being the best surprise party organiser ever, we love you both.”<\/p>\n

According to People<\/em>, the party was also attended<\/a> by Jools Holland<\/strong>, the former Squeeze<\/strong> keyboardist turned big band leader with whom Rod recorded his 2024 album Swing Fever.<\/em><\/p>\n
