Lady Gaga<\/strong> is saving all the Mayhem<\/em> for her music.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the February issue of\u00a0<\/em>ELLE<\/strong><\/em><\/a>\u00a0— on newsstands Feb. 4 — about her new album Mayhem,<\/em>\u00a0she says it’s “utter chaos!” She adds, “It breaks a lot of rules and has a lot of fun …\u00a0Mayhem\u00a0<\/em>is about following your own chaos into whatever cranny of your life that it takes you to.”<\/p>\n

But in her personal life, Gaga has traded chaos for calm, looking forward to her future with fianc\u00e9 Michael Polansky<\/strong> “and our kids.” She admits, “Sometimes I worry people will say I\u2019m boring these days, but honestly, thank God I\u2019m boring. Thank God! Because I was living on the edge.”<\/p>\n

“I don\u2019t know what was going to happen to me living that way,” she says. “So the fact that I have these answers, on the one hand, I\u2019m like, \u2018Oh man, snooze fest!\u2019 But actually, I\u2019m so grateful. Because I found a sense of happiness and joy that is true to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

And when the kids do arrive, Gaga knows what she’ll say when they start asking questions about what mom does.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy kid might one day say, \u2018Mom, why do you do these things? I saw a funny video of you dressed up.\u2019 Most certainly that will happen,” she notes. “And you know, maybe it\u2019s okay to say, \u2018What do you think?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

She adds, \u201cI would want my children to understand that whatever my artistry means to them is totally up to them.”<\/p>\n

Polansky, who’s credited as an executive producer on Mayhem<\/em>, tells\u00a0ELLE<\/em>, “Our relationship is probably a lot like everyone else\u2019s. We just have to figure out how to do some of it in public. That makes it even more important for us to have strong friendships and close family relationships. We find normalcy where we can.\u201d<\/p>\n
