It’s hard to believe that it’s been more than 10 years since Meghan Trainor<\/strong> released her debut album, Title,<\/em> but she’s celebrating that milestone with a special rerelease.<\/p>\n

On March 28 she’ll put out a 10th anniversary edition<\/strong><\/a> of the record, which originally arrived Jan. 9, 2015. Looking back on the last decade, Meghan, the mother of two boys, tells People<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, \u201cWhere I am right now is far beyond anything I could have ever dreamed of. I always wanted a family. Check. Now I need some daughters.”<\/p>\n

“I never thought I could be a pop star because I didn\u2019t believe in myself,” she continues. “Now, 19-year-old Meghan putting out \u2018All About that Bass\u2019 is stoked; she\u2019s so proud, like, \u2018I didn\u2019t know you could do that.\u2019 It took 10 years to become brave, but I\u2019m finally thriving.\u201d<\/p>\n

And the reason she’s thriving is because, according to her,\u00a0\u201cI had a whole reboot, and it\u2019s because my kids made me want to be the best version of me.”<\/p>\n

Meghan says that when her second album didn’t do as well as Title<\/em>, she initially felt like she was a failure, but all that changed when she became a mother.<\/p>\n

“Priorities shifted. It\u2019s like, \u2018What charts? My kids love this,'” she tells People<\/em>.<\/p>\n

In addition to motherhood, TikTok helped reboot Meghan’s career, leading to her hits “Made You Look” and “Criminals.” She put out a new album in 2024 and did her first tour in seven years.<\/p>\n

\u201cI got a lot of comments like, \u2018I didn\u2019t know you were still doing it.\u2019 I\u2019ve been here, but thank you for joining!\u201d she says. As she notes to People<\/em>, \u201cI\u2019m not peaking. I\u2019ve just begun.\u201d<\/p>\n
