But on Wednesday he was able to celebrate his 72nd birthday surrounded by his family.<\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/michael-bolton-shares-rare-photo-kids-grandkids-72nd-birthday-exclusive-11686909\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>photo shared with <\/strong><em><strong>People<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, Michael is surrounded by two of his daughters and three of his six grandchildren, with a slice of birthday cake on a plate in front of him. According to<em> People,<\/em> he received new golf gear as a gift.<\/p>\n<p>Michael also canceled several shows in October 2024,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/share\/p\/1AjbCHq8aH\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"externalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\"><strong>writing on Facebook<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0that he isn&#8217;t &#8220;quite 100% yet,&#8221; that he needed more time to &#8220;build back my full strength and stamina.&#8221; He also teased &#8220;a couple exciting projects that you\u2019ll be hearing about very soon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Michael doesn&#8217;t have any live shows scheduled at the moment. He was not present during the <em>Saturday Night Live<\/em> 50th anniversary concert in New York City on Feb. 14 for the <strong>Lonely Island<\/strong> musical medley that included his career-reviving &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=GI6CfKcMhjY\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Jack Sparrow<\/strong><\/a>&#8221; song. <strong>Pearl Jam<\/strong> frontman <strong>Eddie Vedder<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/UV-RZYz8xTc?t=294\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>sang it instead<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2025, ABC Audio.
