Cyndi Lauper<\/strong> is celebrating a new Spotify milestone. The singer\u2019s classic tune \u201c<\/span>Time After Time<\/strong><\/a>\u201d has just joined the Spotify Billions Club.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe did it! I\u2019m excited to share that ‘Time After Time’ hit the 1 BILLION milestone earlier this week, making it my 2nd entry into the Billions Club!\u201d she posted on Instagram<\/strong><\/a>, noting that her first\u00a0was \u201cGirls Just Want To Have Fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you all for your continued love and support. This one really is for you!” she added.<\/p>\n

Released in March 1984, \u201cTime After Time\u201d was written by Cyndi and Rob Hyman<\/strong>. It\u00a0<\/strong>appeared on Lauper\u2019s debut album,\u00a0She\u2019s So Unusual<\/em>, and became her first #1 single. The tune was nominated for a Grammy for song of the year.<\/p>\n

Lauper, who is nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this year, recently announced the final leg of her Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour. It kicks off July 15 in Buffalo, New York, and wraps with two shows at the Hollywood Bowl, Aug. 29 and Aug. 30.
