It also allows the county to provide financial assistance to individuals impacted by the flooding.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis disaster declaration gives the County additional tools and resources to respond to the needs of our residents,\u201d Board Chair Manuel Sanchez said. \u201cWe will continue working together with our community, our partners and the state to ensure residents have the support they need as we continue to move forward.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>County officials say that while the immediate safety threat has passed, many residents are still dealing with the effects of the flooding.<\/p>\n<p>Residents who experienced flood-related damage are encouraged to complete the county\u2019s damage assessment form at <strong>DonaAna.gov\/DamageAssessment<\/strong> or call <strong>211<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Residents who need assistance completing the damage assessment can also call 211. Assistance is available Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to noon.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile the immediate safety threat has passed, we know many residents are still feeling the effects of this flooding.
