Doña Ana Community College (DACC) is offering pottery classes for teens this summer.
The college is offering the classes during two separate weeks for teens ages 13 to 17. Classes will be held June 17th through the 21st from 2 to 4 p.m., or June 24th to the 28th from 10 a.m. to noon. The cost for the class is $85, held at the DACC Workforce Center, 2345 E. Nevada Ave.
Participants will learn the basics of throwing on the wheel and some advanced techniques. Teens will be instructed how to throw bowls, mugs/cups, a lidded container and a plate, and the basics of dip gazing. All finished pieces will be food-safe and usable. Fired and finished pieces will be picked up at a later date. To register, go to Online Registration (
