Unidentified body found in house fire on Fox Road

On Monday, May 16, at approximately 6:47 p.m., Doña Ana Sheriff’s Office deputies and Doña Ana County Fire & Emergency Services responded to 6640 Fox Road regarding a structure fire. Upon arrival, first responders found the home fully engulfed in flames. A male resident of the home was contacted. He indicated a female lived at the residence with him. As of this morning, her whereabouts were still unknown.

Crews remained through the night at the secured scene until morning when further investigation could be conducted. A single body was recovered, but it is not possible to determine gender or any other identification.

Doña Ana County’s Fire Investigators and detectives from the Sheriff’s Office were on scene through the night and remain this morning.
