Albuquerque Pediatric Nurse Arrested on Child Pornography Charges

LAS CRUCES – A pediatric nurse in Albuquerque has been arrested and accused of possessing child pornography following an investigation led by the New Mexico Department of Justice.

Authorities arrested Blade Rogers early Thursday morning after investigators received a report from the messaging application Kik through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Court documents indicate prosecutors have filed to keep Rogers in jail until trial. The filing noted he worked in the pediatrics unit at Presbyterian Hospital in downtown Albuquerque prior to his arrest.

Presbyterian Healthcare Services confirmed the individual is no longer employed by the hospital and stated the organization is cooperating with law enforcement authorities during the investigation.

Officials have not released further information about the case, and the investigation remains active.
