Doña Ana Community College (DACC) is pleased to announce that Mr. Kris Gomez has been designated as its 2025 Honorary Degree recipient.
Gomez is being awarded the prestigious Honorary Degree of Associate of Public Health. DACC will recognize him during its annual commencement ceremonies on Thursday, May 8th at 7 p.m. at the Pan American Center, 1810 E. University Avenue.
Gomez is being recognized for consistently demonstrating exceptional dedication and initiative in enhancing DACC’s community of students and employees, and the surrounding community. He has 19 years of experience in healthcare, finance, health equity and population health. Gomez has organized vaccine clinics on DACC’s campuses, organized mobile health care centers, provided resources for students in need and contributed to campus community events.
He has also been actively involved in community engagement and outreach roles that benefit underserved areas, including donation events that provided Thanksgiving meals, toys and gifts, and school supplies to low-income families.
The DACC honorary degree is given to someone who demonstrates outstanding service to the college and community. This is the highest form of recognition offered by DACC to a person of exceptional distinction.
