Seven students from Doña Ana Community College (DACC) are now headed to a national competition after winning first place at the recent SkillsUSA statewide event.
Sixteen DACC students took home awards from the New Mexico SkillsUSA competition held March 18th-21st in Albuquerque, NM. Of that number, seven students won 10 gold medals and five won silver. The SkillsUSA competition which prepares students for careers in trade, technical, and skilled service occupations. The seven gold medalists now qualify and are invited to participate in the National Leadership and Skills Conference in Atlanta, Georgia this June. These students will represent the state of New Mexico.
