Community members who need help with food are invited to two food distributions occurring in Las Cruces in May. The FREE pop-up food distributions occur:
Saturday, May 3
5605 Bataan Memorial Highway West (held in partnership with Las Cruces First)
Start time is 8 am
Friday, May 16
801 E. Madrid at Apodaca Park (held in partnership with the City of Las Cruces)
Start time is 8 am
Community members seeking to receive food assistance do not need to register in advance or bring any paperwork with them. Please clear trunks, truck beds, or back seats. In addition, those seeking help should watch for directional signs and volunteers providing instructions on where to go. The format of both food distribution will be drive through.
Since January 2025, the pop up distributions have provided more than 615,000 pounds of food (primarily produce) to more than 11,700 people of which nearly 6,500 are children and seniors (56 percent of all people served).
